Several weeks ago, I had a great time being interviewed by Matt Pierce for his upcoming documentary Anchor.
As Matt shared with me what he was doing, I thought his vision for the documentary was fantastic and deserves to be known more widely.
Anchor is a documentary that explores the atheist and Christian perspectives on the big questions of life. Matt’s aim is to present both sides fairly and accurately, and so he has been going around the country and interviewing expert representatives from each view.
I enjoyed the interview because it was an opportunity to talk in detail about various apologetic questions, which is something I really enjoy. In my time, I was able to talk about things such as “why should we believe the Bible?,” “why doesn’t God save everyone?,” “what is the meaning of Christianity?,” and more.
While being fair to both sides, Matt’s documentary shows the supremacy of the biblical worldview — not by through wishful thinking and ignoring facts, but through reason and evidence.
This is the most powerful way to show the truth of Christianity in my view: dealing fairly and honestly with other perspectives and exploring the issues rationally, rather than implying that people should have a blind faith (which I believe is disrespectful; it’s also unnecessary, because the evidence favors Christianity).

Also, Matt is mostly funding this documentary himself, and so it’s worth considering whether you might want to help support this important film by making a donation on the website.
